Slow shutter speed
What happens when you slow down the shutter speed?
– it can get a smooth water flow in rivers
– lights from cars will build a stream of long lights
– with the help of a flashlight you can write messages in the dark
There are probably other things you can take pictures of as well with low shutter speed. I am only mentioning the realistic ones which you can try out.
Experimenting with slow shutter speed
I was in a car and had nothing to do when I was waiting for some people to buy some stuff in a store. I saw a truck that had the lights on so I thought I might as well try to have some fun while waiting. I reduced the shutter speed to 6 seconds.

Choose shutter speed
See the picture above to know what I mean. Then aim at something that is bright, like a lamppost in the night. Then take the picture and under the 6 seconds you got move the camera around and build some patterns of your like. Then the picture will come out looking something like this:
If you press the pictures you will see information in the right corner about the setup for the pictures.

Ring flash
I love to take macro pictures of insects and flowers. I went to a photographer in a store and asked what is required to take good macro pictures. One thing he mentioned was to have a flash. He built his own flash, but I am not going to do that. I will buy one. So next thought is then, which one should I buy? There are lots of different version on the market and they all look like good options.
I have looked around the net to see which ring flash that can suit me. I found a relatively good ring flash which do not cost much. It is called Dörr DAF-14. I have read the reviews about it and people seem content with it and say it is a good one for that low price. The price is around 87 € (127 $).
So my question is if you have tried a ring flash and if you have any you would recommend? Please write your suggestions in the comment field.
Update: I have now got the Dörr DAF-14 ring flash so I will try it and hopefully be able to show pictures used with it.
Canon EF-S 55-250mm
A good lens with a good zoom is the Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS II. It gives sharpness and brightness and is easy to work with. It has a image stabilizer to make the picture less blurry.
I love to take pictures of animals:
The lens might feel plastic but the quality of the pictures are amazing. The lens is cheap too. As you can see on the above pictures, the lens gives colorful pictures. I have not done anything to the pictures, no effects. The only thing I have done is to put my logo on them.

Sony DSC-HX100V

Sony DSC-HX100V
The Sony DSC-HX100V is a small camera with a great zoom. It has 30x zoom which makes it a great camera for all occasions.
When I go to a concert and I am sitting far from the stages I can zoom in pretty close to the artists.

This is how far away from the artist I was standing when I zoomed in, as you can see the artist looks pretty small from where I sat:
Another concert I have been on is with Lionel Richie and I was sitting maybe more than 50 meters away from him. This is a favorite picture of mine.

This camera is good when it is daylight but also sunsets:

Natural light no effects
It is easy to take pictures, it goes fast which is necessary when taking picture of for example animals:
So I think I proved my point with this camera. A great zoom is getting you closer to the object and Sony DSC-HX100V does what it suppose to do. It is not even the newest version. Now there must be even more improved cameras and better zoom maybe even 50x.
Even macro is good with this camera. You can come very close to small objects and still get clear pictures like below is shown:
Even landscape photography goes well with this camera:
I also like to add that the filming is recording in stereo sound. This mean that it wont make big noise when you are playing the video, no noise disturbance. You will be able to hear a clear sound and not like if you would have recorded with your mobile and only hear the base sounds. This camera is great for concerts.

Canon 60D
I am really happy with my Canon 60D. It does what it should and have many functions to make a picture special.

This version is little heavier then the previous 600D. What makes it different fro 600D is the display, which 600D do not have. Although the same information you are getting in the display you can get on the LCD screen in the camera.
I will tell more about this camera when I get more time.

Canon 50mm 1.4

Canon EF 50mm f1.4
I would love to own a Canon 50mm 1.4. It is still more than triple the price of the 50mm 1.8. The question is: Is it worth it?
The 50 mm 1.4 is good for taking picture where there is less light, for example taking a picture in the night near a street with few road lamps and some cars driving by. It is also of course good for taking portraits. Compared to 50 mm 1.8 this lens takes brighter pictures and also sometimes it can be felt to be taking sharper pictures as well.
Tamron 90mm 2.8 Macro Lens
The Tamron 90 mm 2.8 macro lens is a superb lens to have. It is a good lens for taking pictures of insects, flowers and portraits etc but do not limit yourself only to those objects. This lens is good for so many more things. That I will prove here.
I have also found that it takes good picture in sport events. For example when I took pictures in a dance competition it took clear pictures even if the dancers were moving fast. That means it is a fast lens as well.

Fast moving object in a dark enviroment
Have you ever tried to catch a clear picture of fireworks but failed? I know the feeling. With this lens you will be able to get clear pictures of fireworks because the lens gives detailed pictures of the object you take. Check it out:
Here are some examples that I have taken with the Tamron 90 mm:

If you have any questions you are welcome to ask and comment.
